Established 2000

On 31 August 2020 a torrential shower overwhelmed the guttering system at Bramshaw Village Hall and flooded the premises, damaging the ceilings, walls and ruining the floors. 500 days later the refurbishment is complete and the hall is ready for us to make so more dance memories.

April 2021 - the flood damaged maple floor is removed

January 2022 - the new maple floor and patio door

Tango at Bramshaw  is very easy to find

We are very easy to find. Take the M27 motorway west of Southampton to junction 1. From the J1 exit, follow the B3079, signposted to Bramshaw for EXACTLY 2 miles and look out for the large yellow banner at the entrance to Bramshaw Village Hall on the left.
Do not use our post code for your satnav - it will get you lost in the small lanes behind our venue. Download these map coordinates to your smart phone which will guide you to our main entrance. Our full address is on the footer below.

 Introducing ourselves...

Debbie Morrall

Partner

I was always captivated by Argentine Tango whenever I saw it on TV and in films. It looked so connected, two people dancing as one, in an embrace. I tried other partner dances whilst searching for Tango classes, they were fun but I could never remember the choreography of steps. So when I finally found some Tango classes and discovered that it was an improvised dance, with an invitation and response, connected to the music and my partner, it ticked all the boxes for me. It continues to captivate me."

As a dancer, I love to immerse myself in this beautiful music and play with dancing improvised movement in a close embrace. There are moments when dancing tango feels very similar to playing spontaneous music with another musician. One of the joys and, sometimes, frustrations is that you never stop learning tango. The deeper you explore the more tango reveals. It stimulates the mind, the body and the spirit and changes people’s lives. It has most certainly changed mine."
